  1. Today we're going with another COTD card! 影星軌道兵器ハイドランダー Hydralander the Orbital Shadowlite Weapon Level 8 Dark Machine/Special Summon Only Monster/Effect Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) while 5 or more monsters are in your Graveyard and all monsters in your Graveyard have different names, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (1) Once per turn, during either player’s turn: You can send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard; if all monsters in your Graveyard have different names, destroy 1 card on the field. The name is a pun of Hydra and Highlander, which in card games terms means 1 copy of each card. The card's name is in pair with its summoning condition and effect, which works the best in a deck with only 1 copy of each monster. Summoning it is very easy to do, a decent reasoning/monster gate will easily fill up the graveyard with the cards needed. You can also use the likes of Charge of the Light Brigade or Needlebug Nest to fill it up even more. It's effect is very powerful as the effect destroy only at the resolution, so untargetable monsters won't have their way with it. Since the effect can be activated during either player's turn, you can use it to disrupt your opponent's moves and consequently foiling their strategies. It packs a whooping 3000 ATK, which ties with many boss monsters and can be used as a beater. With 1500 DEF, it is searchable with Witch of the Black Forest (Errata'd in OCG, you can check it here).

  3. Today we're going to talk about Heavy Dust Storm, a new trap from COTD(Code of the Duelist) 砂塵の大嵐 Sajin no Ooarashi (Heavy Dust Storm) Normal Trap Card You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn you activate this card. (1) Target up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy those cards. The name takes the 1st part of the Japanese Dust Tornado name [砂塵の(Saijin no)]大竜巻(outatsumaki) and The Japanese Heavy Storm name 大嵐(Ooarashi) While simple, it has a strong effect that can clear up your opponent's backrow effortlessly. A twin twisters, but in trap form and without the need to discard a card. Not conducting the battle phase can be circumvented by activating it during your opponent's turn so you can clear their backrow and go on your turn without worrying about Dimensional Barrier/Solemns etc. Note that the card can also destroy cards on your side of the field, so you can destroy your own S/T that have effects when destroyed and/or sent to the graveyard and combo them off. eg. Artifact Monsters, Geartown Usage: You can play this card virtually in any deck. If you dislike the discarding cost for twin twister, then it'd be a good idea to add this card in your deck. This card will be more attractive in TCG as backrow is more predominant there than in OCG (OCG has Harpie's Feather Duster). That's all for today! Thanks for your time reading this small Article!

  5. Bit late for introductions, but anyways This is Za Kingu, hailing over from Discord! I have been playing since 2002 and my hobby is to play and make as many decks as possible! I've started playing competitive back in 2008 and have been there since then. I hope we can get along!

  7. I'm going to quote Skullblaka98(A DNF user) here since his answer explains it perfectly. "Mirror Force's activation condition is "When an opponent's monster declares an attack:". Declaring an attack is an action with no spell speed, so effects responding to it can be activated at higher than Chain Link 1, so long as the action is the last thing to happen (as Mirror Force says "when"). "
